Mark Grieco talks about shocking documentary A RIVER BELOW

Filmmaker Mark Grieco came Center Stage with Mark Gordon to discuss his latest film A RIVER BELOW, a documentary as dramatic, ambiguous, and multilayered as any fiction film. The interview originally aired Tuesday, November 7, 2017 on KXLU Los Angeles, 88.9 FM.

A RIVER BELOW looks at the plight of the Amazon’s pink river dolphins and the efforts of Colombian biologist Fernando Trujillo and Richard Rasmussen, a media personality and activist known as Brazil’s Steve Irwin, to save these beautiful mammals from extinction.

Center Stage with Mark Gordon airs Tuesdays at 7 PM (PST) on KXLU Los Angeles, 88.9 FM. If you are outside Los Angeles, click here to listen to the live internet stream.

A RIVER BELOW provides an eye-opening look at what happens when passion and opinion trump reason and morality. The crux of the story questions the truth in images, its manipulation to get the public’s attention and, ultimately, who pays the price for someone else’s passion for radical change.
