The Arena Cinelounge Sunset presents a special screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic war drama, Apocalypse Now: Final Cut. The film has been restored in 4K, promising better sound and picture quality. When I initially saw the film, it blew me away. Can’t wait the get back in the Jungle with Marlon Brando, Martin Sheen, Dennis Hopper, Robert Duvall, Laurence Fishburne, Harrison Ford, and Frederic Forrest.

August 16- August 22, 2019. At Arena Cinelounge Sunset, 6464 Sunset Blvd., Lobby Level, Hollywood, CA 90028. Information: (323) 924-1644.

Apocalypse Now: Final Cut will also be released in a 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (4K disc, plus three Blu-ray discs and Digital copy) and on Digital 4K Ultra HD. This cut was restored from the original negative, and will use Dolby Vision HDR, which can “deliver spectacular colors never before seen on a screen, highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker.”

Apocalypse Now: Final Cut will have film buffs acting giddier than Col. Kilgore watching planes napalm guerrilla forces. Just remember, Never get out of the boat!
