Davy Jones talks about his days with The Monkees.

In 1995, I was starting my broadcasting career. I began producing and hosting a weekly radio show called Center Stage and covered theatre in Los Angeles. A revival production of the hit musical Grease was heading to town. The ensemble cast featured former teen idol, Davy Jones. In 1966, he became a television sensation when he joined the cast of The Monkees. Eventually, the manufactured pop group would transcend the small screen with a series of hit songs including, “I’m a Believer” and Last Train to Clarksville. Unfortunately, the TV Show lasted only two seasons. However, The Monkees would remain popular for over thirty years.
